Jesse Kosch, owner of Big Red of the Rockies and Punter for the Huskers when they were National Champions in ’94, ’95, and ’97, has said Big Red of the Rockies and Estes Park is reopening to visitors / tourists.
Kassondra, Jesse’s wife, will be at the store on Saturday from 12-5. Jesse is looking to make the trip into the metro area to join Coloradans for Nebraska at the Fox and Hound in Westminster off of 120th. He plans on being there and set up with items by noon.
If you are looking to visit Estes Park, currently the only route open without checkpoints is the following:
I-70 to Central City / Blackhawk
119 to Nederland
Highway 72 to Highway 7
Highway 7 will take you into Estes Park
Also, mark your calendars as Estes Park is having their Elk Festival on the bye week. So if you are looking for a Husker fix on Saturday, September 28th, just head to Estes Park and see Jesse at Big Red of the Rockies and join the other Huskers enjoying time in the great Colorado outdoors in Estes Park.
Visit Big Red of the Rockies on the web! Jesse will be updating the site with information about times they will be open and with pictures / videos.
Here is a YouTube video Jesse posted showing his store a couple days after the flood. It gives you a good chance to see what merchandise he has in stock that is available for order if you are unable to make the trip to Estes Park. Big Red of the Rockies is currently offering free shipping.
